About Reflexology
Reflexology has in fact been around for thousands of years in Egypt, India and China, evidence was found in the ancient tombs of the Egyptians. It wasn't until the 1913 when the medical profession discovered a link between the nerves in the feet and hands to other areas of the body. Dr William Fitzgerald introduced this therapy as Zone Therapy. In the 1930's Eunice Ingham further developed this, into what is now known as Reflexology. She observed that congestion in an area of the foot was directly related to congestion or tension in that area of the body.Reflexology does not cure conditions, but it may help alleviate symptoms.
For example, somebody who has irregular periods it may help the body to rebalance the hormonal system and so therefore help thier periods become more regular.
